PROMOD TRUCKS !!!

The Pro Mod truck section is dedicated to the fastest haulers around the world, on these pages you will find trucks that run in the 6 or 7 second time zones, enjoy. Most of the truck pictures have been submitted to me, some I have found cruising the net, if your truck is one that I found and you don't want it here, let me know and I will remove it, or send me the info on it for our readers to see, thank you!

Danny Robertson's Blown Alcohol Injected 486 Chevy Truck, from Glendale, AZ. Sponsored by Pro Star Lining!

1986 B2200 Mazda Pickup owned by Greg Krhovjak and Darren Kunz with Mark Jenkins as the driver. The truck was built completely by the owners. Powered by a 540 cubic inch Chevy Rat Motor, injected with a 1471 supercharger, and a Lenco/Bruno Transmission. It weighs over 3100 lbs., and we run it in 10.5 Outlaw Back Half Class. So far the best time for the truck in the 1/8 mile has been 4.68 @ 157 in the finals.

Danny Gardner's 1998 Silerado >> it has a 525 Alan Johnson Olds, we run all 1/8 mile in our series , our best has been so far a 4.15 at 175 mph in the eighth mile, owner/driver is Buck Gardner , sponsor is Gardner Const. Co.

Chuck Poindexter
1976 Chevy Luv with a front end of the 73 design
I have based this chassis on the Alston Pro-Link kit, at the time they did not make a chassis for the truck, SO using parts from 2 kits I custom build 1 vehicle. The front fenders and cab are each stretched 6 inches, and the front of the bed has been shortened by 6 inches. The bedsides will Dzus off for tire access. With all the modifications this gives it the same wheelbase as a first generation Camaro. The engine is a flat top 427 with Dart 360 heads, BDS 8-71 blower, and Enderle injection running methanol, w/nitro sometimes. Transmission is a 1.76, Dedenbear case, Trans-King Electric Shift powerglide design in shop built and maintained. Strange ultra 9.5 with 4.30 big pinion rear gears. Goodyear 14.5 X 32 slicks The 427 combination is capable of 1/8 mile times in the 4.80s. It's going to take a bigger engine with more power to make the local Pro Mod shows, as bump spots in the 4.40s are becoming common. I qualified at 80% of races entered in 2002 race season, 40% IN 2003 but it is becoming more difficult. I was 7th in points at the end of the 2002 season.
I was 12th in the points out of the 42 registered Outlaw Pro Mod racers at the end of the 2003 season.I set out the 2004 season to do some changes that should make the truck faster.EXE::..........Bigger motor531, bigger blower 14:71 and more tire16.5 X33

Fredrik Fagerstrom's 1966 Chevy Pro Mod from Sweden

This is one of the fastest trucks in the world!

John Taylor's 53' Chevy (I think) soon to be running a new motor from Steve Schmidt. It is a 632 that makes about 1350 hp with about 1100 lbs. torque. Then nitrous will be plumbed in and a new Lenco transferring the power. Looking for times running in the sixes at well over 200mph. John wants to put out a special thanks to Steve Schmidt!
