My truck is 1982 short bed step side I have built it at least 3 times, this last time took 2 year and I have just recently finished it for now. It is a full tube frame with ladder bars and 9inch ford with 4.88 gears and carbon fiber drive shaft and willwood disc brakes. The front is Strange struts and brakes. The frontend is fiberglass as well as the doors and rear fenders, the only thing steel is the cab and bed real. I made the bed cover out of aluminum that is on a hinge to get to the fuel cell. E-MAIL...Joe B. Barber The
motor is just a 427 bored 60 to make it a 439 with square port heads
by David Nikens, by the way it is for sale. It has all the goodies.
The truck weighs 2380 with me in it and ready to make a pass. It currently
runs 6.35 at 113.04 in the 1/8 the best has been a 6.27 at 117.21
in the 1/8 and a 9.86 in the 1/4 at 137.45. I am putting a new motor
in after the first of the year, it is a 555 Scott Shafiroff that makes
950 HP which should put BEVO into the mid 8's.
