Neil Messicks former 1938 Chevy Truck

Christian and Christopher Nantz of Heber Springs Arkansas, 1972 Chevy Custom 10 deluxe is equipped with a new 1968-396 bored, ported and polished. It's been balanced and blueprinted and puts out over 600 horse power. It had the standard shift transmission taken out and has a turbo 350 transmission with a B&M shift kit and a 3,500 RPM stall converter. It has a rare dash tachometer. It has a MSD ignition and 3:73 gear ratio. The engine gleams of chrome and steel braded hoses. This truck is called Double Trouble, nice truck boys!
UPDATE!
They now have installed an Auburn Posi and the truck is getting traction in 1st and 2nd much better. It still has some traction issues if they stall it off the line. They are still planning to take the truck to Centerville drag way this spring to see just what it can do. They have also changed to an msd 6aL.

They raced it at Centerville AR a couple of weekends ago and it won every race in the radial street division. It turned a 9 second 1/8th and a 11 second 1,000', but had carb problems, soon a double pumper and new highrise will solve the problem.

This GMC truck has a Chevy 350/383 (street stroker engine) 4.30-inch bore/450 horse power. Longer piston stroke/Longer crankshaft rotational diameter.
Racing Erson cam (high lift/high RPM), Aluminum roller rockers, Hedman headers, Weiand aluminum (open port) intake, Edelbrock 750cfm (electric choke), Turbo 350 trans (w/shift improver kit) /rear axke (3.73) GM 12-bolt.
1987 Scottsdale belongs to Tim Nantz of Heber Springs, AR. It runs 10 seconds on street radials. Last weekend we put M/T drag radials on it and unseated an undefeated truck in north central AR.
It has:
454 w/ hooker headers, comp cam, eagle steel crank, team-G high rise intake, Demon 850 double pump carb, and much more.
Trans is a 700-R4 trans
3:73 gears with mini spool posi in rear.
